Your infectious "this-can-be-done-it's-not-as-hard-as-you-think" attitude and...because of that amazing quality you enable individuals to change their perceptions and as a result...they are able to change their realities. Label me as your #1 fan."

Esther Tolentino
Adventist Health

The Lean Team, consisting of Sharlet Briggs, ... has been instrumental in assisting the Nutritional Services department in a recent project that has been effective in decreasing Unit distribution labor by one hour per day, reducing unit supply inventory by 39% and developing and implementing  a standardized work and distribution method.

This has resulted in a cost saving of 24% per patient day in unit supplies, and a projected overall savings of approximately $27,000 per year, as well as labor savings, allowing for the better distribute of work for more effective direct patient care and service.

In addition to Lean projects, the team has greatly enhanced the employee’s sense of empowerment, with the development of the “Idea Board”

In these times of restricted budgets and gloomy forecasts, having a system in place (the Lean Team) that looks at improving productively and reducing waste in all areas of our facility, is a valuable commodity."
